We at New Jersey Massage are committed to wellness, not only through on-site massage therapy, but also through our lectures and workshops. Since 1979, we have conducted over five hundred programs at companies like the New Jersey School of Medicine & Dentistry, Schering-Plough, Prudential, Selective, AT&T, St. Clare's Hospital, Montclair State/William Paterson/Seton Hall Universities, and the Morristown/Parsippany/Wayne Departments of Health, to name a few, as well as for various charities, including Cystic Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy, American Red Cross, Leukemia, American Cancer Society, and Make a Wish Foundation. Whether we are conducting a lecture or workshop on your behalf, or sending in one of our corporate instructors to teach yoga, Pilates, or Tai Chi, our programs will improve the quality of your work environment, decrease absenteeism, increase productivity, and save your company money. We can develop a customized program to meet your needs and schedule. Please contact us for an appointment to discuss your specific requirements.

Programs / Classes
Pilates
This is an exercise system that is focused on building strength without bulk, improving flexibility and agility, and helping to prevent injury. It was developed in the 1920s by Joseph H. Pilates, who was a physical trainer and founder of The New York Pilates Studio®. It involves a series of controlled movements that engage both your body and mind. Pilates utilizes specifically designed exercise apparatus and is supervised by highly trained teachers. It was initially created for rehabilitation, but was later adopted by dancers and athletes and is now utilized by millions. A beginner class generally consists of very gentle exercises done on a mat in either a sitting or lying down position. The primary focus is on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility. The outcome of Pilates training is a balanced body which is strong and supple, flat stomach, balanced legs, and a strong back.
T'ai Chi/Chi Kung
Sometimes called a moving meditation, it is a series of flowing and effortless movements which are combined with deep meditative breathing. T'ai Chi is known for its profound health benefits, promoting strength and clarity of mind, increasing balance and coordination, and for reducing stress. This class is appropriate for people of all ages and abilities.
The Meditation Primer
Join us for a comprehensive look at gaining stillness of mind and relaxation of body. There are significant life and work improvements for people who meditate regularly. Research shows that meditators have dramatically less degenerative disease; thus, Silver Cross of Belgium deducts 33% off insurance.
