Clinical Applications of Cranio Sacral Therapy: Craniosacral therapy is practiced in Oncology, Cardiac, Labor and delivery and Pediatric units.
Cranio Sacral Therapy is a whole-body hands-on application of gentle palpation and protocols. The approach with the techniques is to relieve or “release restrictions which impair nervous system functioning. Its origins are from Cranial Osteopathic technique. Many healthcare providers who integrate these techniques in their approach to patient wellness utilize craniosacral therapy.
This level of training demonstrates how Cranio sacral techniques are utilized in the inpatient hospital environment. Session outcomes relieve pain, stress, and nausea. Students learn to partner with patient physicians and nursing professionals. Patient self-care techniques are described to support postural comfort and stress reduction.
Protocols will be demonstrated and practiced, for post brain trauma-concussion.
Protocols for cranium and upper neck and shoulders will be demonstrated and practiced in lab.
Work is intended for adult patients.
