The benefits of Ayurvedic Shirodhara include overall increased vitality, reduced stress, and deep relaxation with a profound effect on the mind.
Special herbal oils are selected based on each individual client's needs. The student will learn traditional Ayurvedic principles as well as how to restore calmness with a stream of herbal oil poured gently over the forehead in various patterns. Shirodhara is a deeply relaxing treatment. This procedure synchronizes brain waves and profoundly coordinates and calms the mind, body, and spirit. Shirodhara enhances blood circulation to the brain, relaxes the nervous system, improves memory, nourishes the hair and scalp, lowers metabolism and integrates brain function to create brain waves coherent to an alpha state to aid in release of stress and tension.
Includes introduction to Ayurvedic Theory with detailed instruction on how to perform an Ayurvedic Shirodhara treatment, by using a stream of herbalized oils which are poured onto the forehead to be absorbed to bring calmness which promotes a profound sense of relaxation, grounding, and nourishment.
