Spa Bodywork Basics 102: High Value Enhancements

This 8-hour hands-on workshop builds on foundational spa bodywork by teaching massage therapists how to add high-value enhancements to client sessions. Participants will learn three popular and profitable spa add-ons: dry brushing, facial massage, and a revitalizing foot treatment with scrub and body wash. Each technique will be taught with benefits, contraindications, step-by-step demonstrations, and practice time. Emphasis will be placed on safely incorporating enhancements into massage sessions and using them to increase client satisfaction and revenue.
Learning Outcomes:
- Define and describe the benefits and contraindications of dry brushing, facial massage, and foot treatments.
- Demonstrate correct draping, setup, and technique for each enhancement.
- Perform dry brushing, facial massage, and foot scrub/soak as stand-alone or add-on services.
- Apply sequencing and timing strategies for integrating enhancements into body wraps or massage sessions.
- Identify marketing opportunities and pricing strategies for offering enhancements in private practice or spa settings.
