About our Massage Team:
All of our therapists customize the massage therapy session to
meet the specific needs of their clients. All of our therapists are specialists
in medical and sports massage, neuromuscular trigger point therapy and
shiatsu. Most of our therapists have additional training in many adjunctive
approaches such as pregnancy massage, hot stone massage, Thai massage,
Reiki, Qi healing, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Raindrop therapy, and our very
special massage therapy facials.
Larry Heisler, M.A., RMT is one of the massage pioneers in New Jersey. As a practitioner since 1975, Larry has treated nearly 50,000 clients. Possessing a strong education background, formerly a classroom teacher, an assistant principal and then college instructor, it was natural for Larry to begin teaching the healing path he loved. In 1980, Larry opened the third massage school in New Jersey, initially specializing in Traditional Barefoot Shiatsu. Soon after he followed up with a highly developed massage therapy facility located in the Parsippany Medical Complex. By 1985, his programs embraced a full spectrum of massage therapy modalities and Larry’s hundreds of students and graduates were on their way to establishing massage as a legitimate healing alternative in his northern New Jersey area.
Since 1980, the North Jersey Massage Training Center, has been widely acknowledged for its volunteer massage team participation in over 750 state wide fund raising events for organizations like the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Diabetes Tour De Cure to the Red Cross, Leukemia Society, Make A Wish Foundation and the 9/11 Port Authority Ground Zero Command.
Larry has presented for the hospital medical staffs at six different Grand Medical Rounds, has set up wellness curriculums for three Universities and has been on television discussing massage therapy legislation with then Governor Christie Todd Whitman. In addition, he has presented programs at over thirty college campuses, for a dozen health departments and townships and at over a hundred New Jersey corporations. This year Larry celebrates the 33rd anniversary of officiating at his weekly meditation and healing circle. He has never charged for this class.

Bianca Franchi, CMT
Bianca is an extraordinary massage therapist with multiple skills in a wide variety of styles and techniques. Bianca is a teacher of both the Hawaaian Lomi Lomi Massage and the aromatherapy massage called the Raindrop Technique. Practicing for many years, her skills include medical massage, neuromuscular and deep tissue therapy, Thai massage, shiatsu, breast and mastectomy massage, cranial sacral, hot stone treatments, massage therapy facials and of course the traditional European Swedish Massage. But what makes Bianca so special is her open, caring heart and her undying passion for doing good and making a difference on our planet.
Valerie Dumitru, M.S., B.S., CMT
Valerie is a wonder; a physicist, an engineer and a master massage therapist. Valerie has devoted herself to improving the quality of life to all that she meets. Her massage therapy skills are very advanced and acclaimed but her healing talents can only be described as truly spiritual. This is a highly accomplished woman possessing special healing gifts.
Lisa MacGray, B.A., CMT
Prior to her career in massage therapy, Lisa worked in the Human resources division of a large pharmaceutical company. Lisa's decision to leave her corporate job of 22 years was driven by her desire to provide a service to others that would have a direct impact on their lives and their sense of well being. Foe approximately 9 years, Lisa served as a volunteer at the Jersey Battered Women's Service. She subsequently trained to co-facillitate groups for survivors of domestic violence. A registered yoga instructor, Lisa's massage skills go along with a life's directive to serve and uplift. Specializing in Swedish, deep tissue, therapeutic, hot stone, and pre and post natal, getting a massage from Lisa is getting a session with someone completely committed to making a difference on the planet and more importantly in your life specifically.
Tanya Hunter, CMT
One of our newest additions, Tanya has been wowing our clientele with her skills, strength and talent. Certified in swedish, myofascial release, deep tissue, hot stone, reflexology and pre-natal massage, Tanya comes to us from the prestigious Short Hills Hilton.
Chuck Loeffler, B.A., B.S., CMT:
Chuck has been involved with the Asian healing arts for 34 years.
A massage therapy instructor specializing in medical, swedish and shiatsu
massage. He is a master at Tai Chi and Qi Gong healing as well as quantum
physics and electrical engineering. He has taught continuing education
massage, tai chi and qi gong healing workshops nationally and internationally
and his warmth and caring touches everyone he meets.
Fran Ryan, CMT
Fran is one of our senior therapists performing exceptional massage
therapy since the 1980's. As the schools Continuing Education Coordinator,
Fran has been privileged to study with some of our countries most gifted
massage educators. Specializing is just about everything including cancer
and medical massage, pregnancy, hot stone, swedish and deep tissue therapies,
traditional barefoot shiatsu and Raindrop Therapy. She is also a certified
Natural Health Practitioner specializing in nutrition, juicing and essential
oils.
Brian J. Thomas, B.A., CMT:
Brian is a medical massage practitioner and former Director of Continuing
Education at the North Jersey Massage Training Center. He is noted for
helping people recover from muscle injuries and assisting people to live
pain free. He specializes in medical massage, Tandem Point Therapy, neuromuscular,
myo-fascial and trigger point therapies, cancer and life threatening illness,
sports massage, shiatsu and Swedish massage therapies.
Tracy Sanders, CMT:
As a certified massage therapist, Tracy a.k.a. the hammer, specializes
in deep tissue massage therapy and is quite adept in shiatsu, pregnancy,
hot stone, Thai and medical massage therapies. An on-site coordinator
for the North Jersey Massage Training Center, he is also an electronic
navigation specialist.
Michelle Carter, CMT:
Michelle is a certified massage therapist specializing in customizing
the session for her clients specific sensitivities. Because Michelle is
the registrar for the North Jersey Massage Training Center and long time
office manager for the New Jersey Massage, LLC operations, she has been
surrounded and mentored by some of the great massage and bodywork practitioners
in the country.
Jonine Lester, CMT, C.Y.T
Jonnie as she is affectionately called is both a skilled massage therapist
and certified yoga instructor. She possesses a green thumb in horticulture
as well, using her hands both in the healing and nuturing of plants as
well as people. She specializes in Swedish, deep tissue, barefoot shiatsu,
hot stone, massage therapy facials and Raindrop Therapy.
Benji Kraus, CMT,
Licensed in her home country of Thailand for Thai Massage, Benji is known not only for her amazing Thai massage skills but for her exceptional massage therapy and bodywork skills overall. Certified here in New Jersey, she specializes in customizing your massage session with medical massage, deep tissue and trigger point therapy, barefoot shiatsu, cancer and pregnancy massage, Bochichita (Tibetan Energy Work), polarity massage and soothing traditional European swedish massage. Benji's family owns an exclusive spa in Thailand and when Benji returns home every summer her clientele includes the King of Thailand. A most beautiful and extraordinary human.
Jennie Henry, CMT
An English massage therapist with impeccable skills. Jennie is part of the medical massage team at Drew University. She specializes in many styles including medical, deep tissue, cancer, pregnancy, swedish, shiatsu and hot stone massage. Jennie's unique healing abilities and her genuine sincerity and warmth make her a sought after therapist at our different facilites and our ever popular Sunday clinic.
