A Glimpse of the Next World

Another excerpt from Larry's as yet unpublished book entitled,

COMMANDMENTS

by Larry Heisler, M.A., LMT

In 1983 my father in law visited me in a dream. It was 9 months after he passed over to the other side. It turned out to be a dream with a wake up call life message.

At that time my life was filled with two sometimes even three hours of meditation each day, a strict vegetarian diet and the practice of yoga and chi healing arts regularly. I would travel into the city three; sometimes four times a week to meditation classes, and then an advanced class for thirteen years with the extraordinary meditation master Hilda Charlton. I was what my friends called "A White Lighter," fueled with my teacher's instruction "God spews out of his mouth the lukewarm." I would say now more realistically, a regular pain in the a__. Back in those days my big ego pretended to be spiritually advanced; little did I know I was just an infant getting started on my spiritual journey. For those who know me I guess nothing much has changed.

I was close to my father-in law; he was an extraordinary man who lived a bona fide spiritual life. I felt a void after his passing and I knew it was only a matter of time before he would visit me and he did in a dream. This is exactly what happened, no B.S. Oh, one other codicil, when people meditate for many years they begin to awaken on the other side. So when they dream, they are awake in their dream. In other words, it's not happening to them as a victim, they are actually interacting in the other world from a conscious place.

"Hi dad," I exclaimed, filled with excitement, "I've been waiting for you to visit me". Smiling with his deep, natural warmth, "Let's take a walk," he nonchalantly said. "Would you like to get something to eat?" he continued. "They have restaurants on this side?" I questioned, fumbling with my words and delightful amazement. "No"... he said, "This is a mental world. You visualize what you would like, hold its image firmly in your minds intention and breathe your power into that image.""What would you like to eat?" dad pressed. "I would like..., aaa..., how about a slice of whole wheat pizza?" At that moment dad instructed, "Breathe deep, pull in now..., get firm and clear..., now strongly focus and visualize what you would like to eat, see all the atoms clearly coming together, the cheese..., the sauce..., the crust..., the plate....." As I followed his direction, in front of my eyes, a seeming mass of colors and textures appeared to be forming. As if being pulled from the fabric of space itself, it's atoms binding in the creation of my perfect slice. Then suddenly, something caught my attention at the side of my minds eye. It couldn't have been more than a nano second. And poof.........., the entire mass I was creating with my momentarily jaded concentration plummeted to the ground in a heaping mass of confusion and atomic disunity. My father in law looked me straight in the eye and simply said;

"Your vision is not yet clear enough," and just dissolved in the ether.

Michio Kushi, the man who promoted his amazing macrobiotic diet to combat disease worldwide explains it something like this; when we are in our mother's womb we live in a world of darkness. An ocean like environment provides the backdrop for our 270 day trek to the next level of evolution, our birth. Our placenta in the womb partially protects us from the outside elements. If life favors us, we can successfully be birthed into this new, next world. Instead of darkness, there is darkness and light, instead of the fluid world of the placenta, there is air. Michio compares our trek in the womb being analogous to the first crustaceans leaving the great oceans to become air breathers on the shore line.

Now you and I are again protected by a sort of placenta, called our body. We are also in preparation for the next level of evolution but this time it might take 70, 80 or even 90 years. Our next destination is a world of light, of vibrational energy and like my father-in law illustrated, it's a mental world, this world of energy. This next world of light makes this world we share now look infantile, like a pre-school handicap program. Michio calls this evolutionary trek from single celled existence in our mother's womb (the world of darkness), through all the stages of evolution into human form (the world of darkness and light) and then in preparation for our next evolution (the world of light), Michio call this,

"From darkness unto light."

In early religious training,
this journey was referred to as the "Great Chain of Being."
From mineral to plant, from plant to animal, from animal to human, from human to angelic and from angelic back to the one great ocean of consciousness. The Great Chain of Being was a sort of reference chart for our soul's continuing development and in a sense earmarked the levels of spiritual evolution.

Our world has been referred to as a planet of "Little Brainers" and Hindu scripture refers to this time as the Kali Yuga, the Iron Age. In truth we have been living in an age of virtual ignorance, but we're at the very end of that time and we are entering into a dramatically new and liberating moment. So our planet Earth turns out to be an evolutionary cooker of consciousness from animals evolving to humans and humans developing to the next level of frequency, what we might call our angelic body (light body).

Think about it.

Supercharge Your Swedish Massage with Shiatsu

with Larry Heisler, M.A., LMT

Thursday Feb. 28, 10-6pm 8 CE Hours $175
Shiatsu is a deeply powerful and complete form of bodywork, respected worldwide and based on thousands of years of empirical data. What's more profound is that the meridian system and its specific acu-points have a deep influence on our musculature, the internal organ conditions and the immune and nervous systems. Join us for this one day workshop, where Larry will teach you how to add the most powerful shiatsu lines and points to supercharge your Swedish massage.

"The first 8,000 massage treatments I performed in my career were Traditional Barefoot Shiatsu sessions. I had studied for years with the Macrobiotic and Japanese Masters Michio Kushi and Sensei Masahiro Oki and was amazed at their breath of wisdom, power and effectiveness. There wasn't any type of overhead bar or other props in the early 1970's and you did not walk on your client's body. Instead it was a very sophisticated form of bodywork using many parts of your own body to treat your client while concentrating on the energy lines called meridians and specific acupuncture points called tsubos." Larry Heisler, M.A., LMT

 Positional Release Therapy

with Dr Henry Roth, DC, LMT, NCBTMB

Sunday, March 3rd

10-6pm 8 CE Hours $175

This gentle, manual biomechanical mobilization technique places the client's body in a comfortable position for 90 seconds which in turn allows the body to reset the problem muscle to normal, thereby setting the stage for the condition to resolve and heal itself. You will learn all the right moves to ease 21 types of muscle pain, from a stiff neck to an aching back.

This therapeutic approach is based on the idea that each person and each pain is "one of a kind." Since the way people store pain is unique, effective treatment must take that uniqueness into account. This course has not been available for massage therapists in any of the continuing education programs available today. Now you have a chance to learn this very simple yet powerful technique that you can teach your clients for their self care.

"This is a first! Dr. Henry is the amazing therapist who taught us all how to table stretch our clients. Now he is continuing by teaching us the next cutting edge modality to add to our arsenal of effective massage therapy skills." Larry Heisler, M.A., LMT

"Dr. Roth is a wonderful, knowledgeable man to train with."  Anonymous, LMT

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

A compilation of great thoughts for health and wisdom.
by Larry Heisler, M.A., LMT

  • Seems like everywhere I go people pull me aside and ask about coconut oil for cooking, for health and recently for Alzheimer's. Here's what I think: The number one killer and risk factor for heart disease is high LDL and coconut oil has been conclusively shown to increase your LDL's. Saturated fat is unhealthy and the claim that this form is different is the exact same reasoning the beef industry uses to suggest that the saturated fat in beef is ok too. You can read more about it by checking out Dr. Michael Greger's web site and signing up for his daily 3 minute video.

http://nutritionfacts.org/video/does-coconut-oil-clog-arteries/

"Though there have been more than a thousand papers published on coconut oil in medical journals, there is little evidence it helps with Alzheimer's disease."Michael Greger, MD

  • When talking about fish oil consumption in a radio interview, a stark advocate against its consumption, Professor Barry Peskin made these points:

DHA/EPA (fish oils) contains five or six double bonds. As a general rule the more double bonds there are the faster the substance turns rancid. The Professor then said fish oil turns rancid spontaneously at room temperature and highly recommended its elimination as a daily supplement. He further stated that study after study now for over 20 years has proven that fish oil does not work, is not needed by the human body and the research techniques used in the 20th century that implied the oil being highly effective were completely wrong! He cited study after study to prove his point and you know what...he did prove it. I am taking the fish oil out of my BASIC LONGEVITY PACKAGE and replacing it with the vegetarian formula. • Soy isoflavone update: The latest studies confirm as soy isoflavone intakes are increased, the risk of death decreased. Women at the highest levels of soy isoflavone intake had a 54% reduction in the risk of death. When all the hub-bub about soy products being estrogenic first hit the media, many folks including me issued warnings. Especially when it came to feeding soy milk to boys but last year I had a personal talk with Dr. Neil Barnard, the director of Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and he said the initial scare was from incorrect science. Recently in this month's Townsend Letter, Dr. Tori Hudson wrote an article entitled, Soy and Breast Cancer Survivors: Once Again...Not Only Safe, but a Good Thing. Dr. Hudson extensively reviewed the literature and came to the same conclusion, two thumbs up.
  • Two great methods to reduce the phytates in nuts and seeds: Remember grains and beans, nuts and seeds all contain phytates that not only prevent nutrient absorption but hinder your body's mineral metabolism and can create health problems over the long haul.

You can soak your nuts and seeds overnight just as you would your grains and beans. Then after straining, spread them out on a cookie sheet and roast them in the oven for 24 hours. Make sure your heat is very low or at the lowest setting (under 120 degrees). I was introduced to this technique by my buddy Rick Mack years ago and the nut/seed mix was delicious. I think he soaked them in salted water, so you might want to try a really good quality salt.

You can also sprout a nut or seed by soaking it overnight and then laying it out on a papered tray for a couple of days. Once again you can dry them out in your oven for about 24 hours.
