Under The Stone: with Dr. Henry Roth, DC, NCTMB
There is a new hot stone massage technique in the spa industry known as “Under the Stone.” This hot stone method developed by Dr. Henry Roth utilizes the classical style of Swedish massage while gliding along the body surface dispensing deep heat and a spontaneous relaxation response from the client. The practitioner will be taught the versatile use of the “Rothstone” a Y-shaped hand-carved Opalstone that is unlike any stone in the heated stone industry. The Rothstone has the unique capability to shape along all soft-tissue and bony surfaces with airtight conformity. The massage therapist becomes a sculptor of the human frame as it glides warmly up each vertebral segment and fits promptly along the entire shape of the posterior spine. Under the Stone is a dance in technique of hot stone application not seen before in any other technique.
